Blender is a free software used for 3D modeling, animation, and rendering. The program may be used to create, edit, or rig assets for DAZ Studio and Poser, including props, environments, and figures. Blender also allows 3D assets with a skeleton rig to be posed or animated, and can render the scene when complete.

By default, Blender supports the import and export of various file types, including COLLADA (.dae) files for DAZ Studio and Poser, .fbx files, and .obj files. While Blender can import rigged 3D models, rigs for some Daz and Poser figures may not import correctly and need adjusting before use.

Free resources for Blender (software) include:
Daz to Blender Bridge
A free plugin from the Daz Studio store. Can be used to transfer a Daz Studio project to Blender for further editing. (Note that content cannot be exported from Blender to Daz Studio using the bridge, and models other than Genesis 3 and 8 may have incorrect rigging.)
A plugin to edit and sculpt the Genesis 8 Male and Female figures in Blender. Requires Blender 2.8 or higher and DAZ Studio 4.12 or higher.
