Add topicI guess it's best to create a new sub-page for the skydomes etc. but not sure about what name to use. As their are many different types and solutions for a 'full 360 degree environment' just naming the page 'skydomes' doesn't seem to be fitting. 'Panoramic environments' maybe? I'm open for suggestions. --Glaseye (talk) 13:33, 3 September 2014 (BST)
- I've seen "skydome" used as a generic term for full-environment sets, and I don't recall seeing any other term used the same way. On the other hand, we don't have a length limit for names, so we could use "360-degree environment" if we wanted to. --Robkelk (talk) 00:30, 4 September 2014 (BST)
- Did some research - the photographic terms for backdrops without corners (so they appear to continue to the horizon) are "infinity wall" for a backdrop that's usable in one direction or "cyclorama" for a backdrop that's usable in more than one direction. While "cyclorama" might cause some confusion with Daz's Multi-Plane Cyclorama (which is actually an infinity wall), I think it's probably the best term to use. --Robkelk (talk) 20:43, 17 September 2014 (BST)
So Cyclorama it is.... have been a bit busy with my own projects, but will continue with the 'cyclorama's' and various 'themed' pages... --Glaseye (talk) 21:18, 17 September 2014 (BST)
