I am always having trouble with the tables ... there is a new outfit at Renderosity: Tempest for Sadie https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/tempest-for-sadie/76509 --Kerya 10 August 2016

I take it you haven't created a page for this outfit yet? The item does needs its own page to start with.... As to how to add it to the table; I don't know if there is an 'automated' way to do this... --Glaseye (talk) 17:03, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

I added the page and updated the table for you Kerya. Dollygirl

Thank you! I don't even have Sadie, I am just trying to add new stuff from Rero and Sharecg to the Wiki, when possible. --Kerya 11 August 2016

So, I guess this means that tables (also) needs to be edited manually if we want to add a new item to it? --Glaseye (talk) 14:41, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

I believe so Glaseye and your welcome Kerya. --Dollygirl (talk) 13:48, 12 August 2016 (UTC) I take a day off to travel and look what happens... <grin> Yes, there's no way to do the tables automatically. Are the tables more trouble than they're worth? --Robkelk (talk) 19:49, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

I guess trouble is not the right word <LoL> I think it is more about uniformity. If we plan to use it, better use it consistantly. Right now, the aircraft page, were I do most of my editing, doesn't use tables; there 'lists' are used, which personally I do prefer over tables..... But if in general tables are better suited for that job, then now is the time to change before the wiki gets too large to modify.. --Glaseye (talk) 23:10, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

According to the wiki, we currently have 590 index pages. I believe less than a dozen of those have tables. Before I rip out the existing tables and replace the content with lists, does anybody want to keep the tables? --Robkelk (talk) 00:47, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

From my point of view, I would say go with lists. The tables are not hard to do, they are just a bit clunky when you are trying to find something on the list or trying to find the right spot for something new. Since your goal is to have a page for each product any way and if and when that happens the lists can become auto-generated because each item has its set of categories. PS is there an easy way to add the User information like you guys have? I am clueless on how that is done. Dollygirl

Personally I don't like the tables, to be honest. Like written above, I always have trouble to add things - and they are not sortable anyway, like an excel sheet for example. That would be helpful. Dollygirl: click on your nickname in the upper row of the screen - it is red until you added a page for yourself. On the next screen you can create one. --Kerya 12 August 2016

And if you want to add your name and the time you posted to the edit, either click on the pencil icon in the bar across the top of the edit window, or type in four tildes in a row (like so: ~~~~).
Glaseye (and Fielran, if you're still contributing), do you want to comment on the tables? Robkelk (talk) 11:19, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

I prefer the lists (or columns, I think they're called). I do already use them on the aircraft page (think you made them 1st <grin.). --Glaseye (talk) 14:13, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

If everybody likes the way Sadie's wardrobe page looks now, I'll do the same with the other tables (but not immediately; I have another travel day coming up). This is you last chance to tell me I'm making any mistakes... <g> --Robkelk (talk) 14:55, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Looks fine to me....--Glaseye (talk) 16:16, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

That is a much better look Rob. Do you have a template that we could use if a character's page gets to busy and we want to break out Wardrobe? --Dollygirl (talk) 20:45, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Looks good! Dollygirl, there is a template here: https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Talk:Wardrobe --Kerya 13 August 2016

I should re-design that template to show you don't need to use every header. (For example, the groups under "Footwear" only matter if the wardrobe list is as big as the lists for A3, V4, or Dawn - if there's only one or two pairs of shoes on your list, don't add the "Socks" or "Sandals" headers.) Use the template as a guide, not a straitjacket. --Robkelk (talk) 11:21, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

I've just created a new Category: Pages with tables - if you see a page with a table and don't have time to change it to a list (or don't feel comfortable changing the table to a list), please add the category and I'll get to the page sooner rather than later. --Robkelk (talk) 11:40, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
