Welcome to the Poser and Daz Studio Free Resources Wiki! I hope you'll find the contents useful.
If you haven't already read the wiki's "About" page, please do. It describes a fair bit about the wiki.
Please feel free to correct any errors you spot, or add new content to the wiki - although the wiki isn't just a link-dump; please provide some context for your additions.

Fix for at least part of the current editing problem[edit]
If you haven't already, please turn on the "HHVM" beta feature. See here for how and why. --Robkelk (talk) 13:58, 23 September 2014 (BST)
Can I ask you for $1?[edit]
We're 9 days into our 30 day campaign, and we've raised $537. That's fantastic! The idea of Orain, our message, our purpose - it means something. The belief that there can be a community led, a community ran, and a community funded website that's not ad-driven or profit based works.
Our community has believed in us from the beginning, and I firmly believe that our community will stand by us and continue to support us. It's okay if we don't reach our $5,000 goal. $5,000 was a best case scenario. $1,000 enables us to stay online another year. It enables us to keep looking at alternatives and other ways to stay online and cut costs. $500 halves that time and shortens our research ability. 11% of our goal is better than 0% of our goal.
I've made a pledge from the beginning. I've vowed to never force ads on this community for the purpose of keeping Orain alive. Ads are what separate us from the other farms we compete with. I will give my personal funds before I enable ads by force. Ads are a nuisance that you should have a voice in. We've toyed with and are developing the idea of individual wikis who want ads within their community. Some people can't donate a dollar, and that's okay. That's their way of giving and I'm down for that.
To the backers who have helped so far, Thank you!
If you haven't had a chance to donate so far, please please do. Your $1 will help make a difference in the WikiFarm world. You can help us stay online, free, and ad free.
If you have a little more than a dollar and want an Orain t-shirt, we've got those. We've also got hoodies, coffee cups, and blankets. Most of these things will have to be purchased in bulk so there's likely going to be an online store for the leftover donation drive items once the campaign is over.
As always, I want to hear from you. If you have ideas to help our Indiegogo campaign please send them to me or email me.
I apologize for spamming you like this, but I love Orain, I believe in Orain, and I want to fight to keep it alive. If you no longer want to receive urgent messages like these, please send me an email and I'll ensure that you're not bothered further.
With love,
Dustin "Dusti" Muniz

Please note that this is being sent cross-wiki, which means that you may receive this message on multiple talk pages if you have more than one active user talk page on Orain.
Welcome back![edit]
I think it's safe to not wait for your email - I'm promoting your rights to confirmed now. --Robkelk (talk) 15:14, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
Hi Rob, not sure if this is how I reply/message you? I posted a Daz Forum topic on being lost for a short while on what to do next? See: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3344576#Comment_3344576 - Matt
- I get alerts whenever anybody's User Talk pages are updated, so either one works. My User Talk page has become the discussion page for the entire wiki, though, so almost everybody looks there. --Robkelk (talk) 16:35, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
OK, I updated that Heart Latte, and made changes to this: https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Notes_for_new_editors See if I made the correct assumptions?
It may be a good idea to add a link to that page, and a note that you need to be approved by a Site Admin before you can dive in in the "Do You Want to Help?" section of the main page. If I had those two things, I would have been good! :) I hit Pixiv for freebies every now and then, so I will try and add things here.
Finally, how do I add that little signature part you keep dropping on the end of your replies? - Thanks Matt
Thanks for taking the time to read the instructions for creating a page[edit]
Thank you Matt for your editing. It is so hard to write directions when you so close to the subject matter. Makes the product better when there is constructive critques. I have no problem with your changes. On an other note to add your sig look at the bar that starts with a bolded B there is an icon to a letter S and pencil just before the hyperlink icon. Click on that and the appropriate characters will be applied where your cursor is located. Lonnie --Dollygirl (talk) 20:53, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Oh, I see it now, thanks! --3doutlaw (talk) 21:26, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Orphan pages[edit]
Hi! I'm still at work and can't check my Gmail account, so I'm guessing this is what you want to know... An "orphan" page is one that no other page links to. If you want to take a page off the orphan list, just link to it from another page. (For example, edit Genesis 8 Female/Wardrobe/Dresses to add a link to DF Linendress for G8F, and DF Linendress for G8F will come off the Orphan list.) --Robkelk (talk) 21:15, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
Table structure using dpl[edit]
I have played around with your bit of code. [DPL and Tables, 3Doutlaws work] I am still trying to figure out how to associate the product page such as Bear to the image Mostdigitalcreations-bear.png. Can get to the image page but not the product page, at the moment. I can also remove the link to the file page. The current example is such a case. I think it would be easy to get the description tagged in the freebie box template but we would have to go back and update all of the old pages to get them in compliance. A database administrator could possibly do a batch run that could mine the data and create the reformated page but I don't know how that could be done. My vision would be to do a gallery with the images, like a store, that when you clicked on an image it sent you to the freebie page and from there you could click on the source link. Kind of like what DAZ and Renderosity do in their stores. Just a thought. --Dollygirl (talk) 21:36, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
Themed pages[edit]
IIs it OK to make a Themed Page? I saw there was a Star Trek themed hair page, and I was going to put one together for Anime Hair, since it gets asked so often. (BTW, did you guys see that Tab closed his shops :( ) --3doutlaw (talk) 13:47, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
- Please make themed pages! The more ways we have for people to find things, the better, as far as I'm concerned. --Robkelk (talk) 16:46, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
- OK, I got started on it, I will do a little more over the week or so.--3doutlaw (talk) 18:07, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
- It's looking good so far! You might want t throw together a DPL list of Category:Anime and Category:Hair to find all the anime hairdos that we already have pages for. --Robkelk (talk) 22:05, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
- I tried a few things on my sandbox, but could not get a good DPL intersect. I am also adding a bunch of ones (direct links) that we don't have. Will need to go thru after and make actual pages. This will then produce better results on a DPL table, which I can make a link to the top of the themed page. Will keep workin on it. --3doutlaw (talk) 13:54, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

Can we make use of this?[edit]
I just noticed that Cargo is on the list of available wiki extensions. Would it be of use to you? (I don't know enough about database management to be able to tell whether it's too technical for us.) --Robkelk (talk) 17:18, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
I assume we would also need Page Forms in order to use the data that Cargo collects in its database. --Robkelk (talk) 18:06, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
